Frangela:
Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton are real best friends who met at the world famous Second City Theater, where they polished their talents as writers and comedy satirists.
Frances and Angela, aka Frangela, starred in, wrote and produced their self-titled pilot for FOX Television Network,Frances and Angela. They starred in and wrote their award winning animated show Hey Monie for Oxygen and BET and have written pilots for Showtime and Disney.
Frangela has made many TV/Film appearances including The Oprah Winfrey Show on the "Best Stand-ups in America" episode with Dane Cook, Monique & George Lopez. Frangela fought off bugs and Speidi on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, and are well known for razor sharp commentary on VH1’s Best Week Ever and the hit film He’s Just Not That Into You.
Frances and Angela are regular “Pop Cultural Pundits” and have been heard on NBC’s The Today Show and Dateline, Fox’s Mike and Juliet Show, CNN’s Showbiz Tonight and Headline News, Fox News’s Red Eye and The Big Story, MSN’s The Big Debate, and were regular contributors on NPR’s Day to Day and Off Ramp. They also hosted their own radio show, The Week According To Frangela, in Los Angeles on Progressive Talk AM 1150 and filled in nationally for the syndicated radio talk shows of Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartman and Randi Rhodes.
Frances is originally from Chicago and proud of it. She can be heard on Fox’s animated comedy The Cleveland Show as the voice of Cookie. Frances has appeared on The League, Curb Your Enthusiasm, My Name is Earl, According To Jim, Emily’s Reasons Why Not, Drake and Josh and Frasier. Frances is also a fan favorite as Hannah Montana’s bodyguard, “Roxie” on Hannah Montana.
Angela grew up in Detroit, and is the only person to have been a member of all Second City Mainstage companies (Toronto & Chicago). She hosted the regional Emmy Award winning PBS series, “The Cheap Show" in Chicago and has appeared in feature films Strange Wilderness, Mardi Gras and House Bunny. Television appearances include The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Grounded for Life and Mr Show. She can be heard as the voice of Regina Devereaux in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and as numerous characters in Spider Man 2, Ultimate Spider Man, Superman, and Reservoir Dogs video games.
